In My Mailbox: It’s that time again

Women from the Ankle Down: The Story of Shoes and How They Define Us is the most exciting book that’s landed in my mailbox. A history of women and shoes sounds fascinating.
Personally, I’m a fan of any shoe that’s comfortable and don’t really like walking in heels. But I still wear them sometimes. Why is that?
And also:
I’ve been branching out into nonfiction recently, especially informative and/or historical books. But I’ve still got books like Bright Young Thing and Prized to keep me embroiled in fiction.

In My Mailbox: January 1-15
In My Mailbox is hosted by The Story Siren.
Bought:

Pearl in the Sand by Tessa Afshar: The male model reminds me of Jim Caveziel.
Megan Meade’s Guide to the McGowan Boys by Kate Brian: The author’s bio states that Brian is both sad and regretful that she’s never lived with seven boys. Me too!
Sloppy Firsts by Megan McCafferty: The fact that this book was published over ten years ago and I still hear about Marcus Flutie just boggles my mind.
Confessions of an Ugly Stepsisterby Gregory Maguire: I always like hearing the other side of the story.
Traded:

Harmonic Feedback by Tara Kelly: I heartily approve of books with music.
The Kid Table by Andrea Seigel: The title alone evokes so many memories.
Won:

The Future of Us by Jay Asher and Carolyn Mackler: I really enjoyed “Thirteen Reasons Why” and “Tangled” respectively, so I’m really hoping I like this collaboration.
From the author of Perigee Moon I won an amazon gift card! It’ll be going towards a prize for a super secret February project I’m working on. It’s going to be good!
