I want to lead you to a book that’ll keep you up into the night.

My name is Melanie, and I’m an eclectic reader whose tastes range from Jane Austen to the latest YA.

Melanie’s Musings was founded in May of 2009 with a plan to share my love of reading. That hasn’t changed. My goal is to get you excited about books. I’ve also expanded this blog to include movie reviews; a good story is enthralling, whatever its format.

I was a judge for the 2010 Nerds Heart YA Tournament in which the book I chose, Last Night I Sang to the Monster by Benjamin Alire Saenz, went on to win top honors. I’m also the Teen Interview Maven for YA Books Central.
