I want to lead you to a book that’ll keep you up into the night.

My name is Melanie, and I’m an eclectic reader whose taste ranges from Jane Austen to the latest YA.

Melanie’s Musings began in May of 2009 as a place for me to share my love of reading with others.  That’s you.  My goal is to get you excited about books through book reviews, author interviews, giveaways, and more!

You should know that I love lists.  Nothing beats a good one.

I’ve expanded this blog to include movie reviews too.  I believe a good story is enthralling, whatever its format.

I was a judge for the 2010 Nerds Heart YA Tournament in which the book I chose, Last Night I Sang to the Monster by Benjamin Alire Saenz, went on to win top honors. I’m also the Teen Interview Maven for YA Books Central.
